New Order

New Order had come to San Francisco in the early 2000s. Unfortunately they sold out before I could get a ticket. When their show was announced I made sure I set a reminder to buy tickets the moment they went on sale. They rarely tour so I couldn’t miss this chance.

It was a good crowd and a great show. They showed some of their old videos on the screen behind them. Does anyone remember the video for “True Faith” where there was face slapping to the beat of what I think is a synthesizer? The light show was impressive as well.

I remember dancing to “Bizarre Love Triangle” and “Blue Monday” in clubs and frat parties when I was in college. It was fun to be able to dance – more like sway in the sold out crowd – to these songs while New Order performed live.
