After 2010, I was officially hooked on the Lollapalooza experience. Knowing that I couldn’t miss the 20th anniversary I bought my passes before the lineup was announced. I later found out that the lineup included a sober Eminem, Foo Fighters, The Cars, Arctic Monkeys and Tinie Tempah. It would be another great year.
TAB THE BAND – Indie rock band from Massachusetts now known as Dead Boots
YOUNG THE GIANT – Indie rock band from Irvine, CA performed their hits “Body: and “Cough Syrup”. They were high energy and a lot of fun.
DELTA SPIRIT – Indie rock band from Southern California
LE BUTCHERETTES – A Mexican garage punk band from Guadalajara, Mexico. Their lead singer Teri Gender Bender was intense screaming her lyrics and playing the hell out of her guitar. The bloody apron was an interesting touch.
KIDS THESE DAYS – A Chicago indie band that split in 2013
TINIE TEMPAH – This London rapper really got the crowd going
MUSE – First night headliner with a phenomenal light show including the annual fireworks from the annual Chicago Bears Family Fest at Soldier Field.
